There are
thousands of summer camps in the United States. Most
of them are situated in beautiful rural areas, where
campers join in activities, sports and games in the
great outdoors. Millions of children attend the
summer camps located throughout the United States,
each year.
At this moment there are over 9,000 summer camps
available.
Camp provides children with a stable environment and activities that help
them mature and grow. In this community, children live and play with counselors
who serve as positive role models. Summer camp provides children with the
opportunity to enjoy the outdoors, learn new skills and make new friends, but is
also a tremendous experience for counselors and support staff.
Counselors are directly responsible for the
welfare and enjoyment of the children at camp.
Being a summer camp counselor can be the most
fun and rewarding experience you will ever have;
but it is also likely to be the most
challenging!
Each camp has specific requirements for their
international counselors. However, all camps
look for counseling staff who speak fluent
English and have experience working with
children.
Participants share their summer with people
from all over the world and not only gain
insight that will carry over into all aspects of
