additional 30 days in the USA but you are not
permitted to work during this period. There are no

Options
One of the options below may be more appropriate
to you. Following are the program options offered by
American Cultural Exchanges
(ACE).
Placement Option
You will have guaranteed position before you
leave!
No jobhunting required! You will have subsidised
housing confirmed! American Cultural
Exchanges (ACE) finds one job offer and
helps find one living arrangement in the United
States. Housing can be very expensive especially
in resort areas. For this reason we support you
and provide you with quality subsidised housing
that will cost between $100 and $300 per month !
American Cultural Exchanges
(ACE) will arrange a basic, entry level job for
you, much like one that a student in the U.S.
would have during a school break.
You will not normally be able to have a position
that offers training for your future career, but
you will certainly be able learn a lot through
your job if you are open to new people and
experiences. The Work & Travel USA Program does
not require that participants have special
training or professional skills, we just ask
that you have a positive attitude about hard
work! Earn money while you get to know the
country as no tourist can.
Relax and let American Cultural
Exchanges
(ACE) do all the hardwork and provide
you with a job opportunity before you depart for
the USA! You will know in advance your job
position, wages, benefits, any job requirements
that your employer has and whether accommodation
or housing is provided. The location of these
positions are in many States across the US.
Students can work in a wide variety of
unskilled, unqualified jobs including :
amusement park attendant, busser, housekeeper,
parking attendant, security guard, banquet
server, tour guide, fast food server.
Placement areas :
• Amusement parks
• Food and beverage retail concessions
• Retail stores/shops in tourist towns

This option is perfect for those who want peace
of mind and can work for three to four months.
We interview you on behalf of the employers to
be sure you get the right job. Our USA placement
staff gets to know you through your application
form and interview report. This personal contact
enables us to find you a great job based on the
information in your job preference form.
You will not have to worry about
securing your own position, simply sit back and let
American Cultural Exchanges (ACE) do the work
for you! Once American Cultural Exchanges
(ACE) has arranged your placement you will receive a
formalized job offer detailing the location and nature
of the position as well as salary and travel
information. You will be asked to confirm your job offer
and you will receive your J-1 documentation. All
applicants to the Placement Option will be notified
whether or not a placement has been arranged.
